The original Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course as developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn. It is suitable for beginners and people who have completed an “Introduction to Mindfulness” course or workshop.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an 8 week course which supports the participant through a personal investigation of Mindfulness practices. The group of approx. 10 people meet once a week for two hours to practice and learn about stress, its effects on the body, stress in interpersonal relationship and how Mindfulness practice can help radically reduce the causes and effects of stress as well as improve general health and wellbeing. This course is for those who are willing to commit to a discipline of daily practice for the duration of the course and who are interested in uncovering their own innate wisdom.

The course includes 16 hours group work, all supporting materials, mp3s of guided meditations and a days Silent Retreat.

The course will take place on Thursday evenings 7-9pm at the Old Coach House Healing Centre, Cellars Clough, Marsden, Huddersfield, HD7 6LY.

It will start on Thursday 2nd May and finish on 27th June. There will be no class on 30th May due to half term.

There will be a Silent Retreat day as part of the course should you wish to attend on Saturday 15th June tbc.
