Mindfulness Based stress reduction
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an 8 week course where you are asked to commit to attending a 2 hour group session once a week for 8 weeks and to practicing various mindfulness meditations every day for the length of the course. You will be given audio files to listen to in the form of mp3s and you will be asked to play them daily and to follow the instructions as best you can. Each week we will discuss how your practice has been that week and look at different stressful factors in all our lives and how we can use mindfulness to respond to them differently. You will be given some very short written exercises to do on some of the weeks which support the learning.
This 8 week life nurturing course is a gift to yourself It is the gold standard in Mindfulness Based Applications and is clinically proven to support effective, positive change.

There are two classes a week held at the Coach House Healing Centre, Marsden, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire HD7 6LY. One is on Wednesday morning 10am - 12pm and the other is on Thursday evening 7-9pm. Please choose the day and time most suitable for you.
The group meets once a week for 8 weeks to learn about and practice mindfulness.
A day's Silent Retreat is also included in the price of this course and takes place on a Saturday towards the end of the 8 weeks.
